  • Not at all! Our trips are designed for all skill levels. Whether you’re new to the outdoors or a seasoned adventurer, we tailor the experience to match your comfort and goals.

  • Bushcraft is the art of living in the wild using traditional skills. You’ll learn shelter building, fire-starting, water purification, navigation, foraging, tool use, and more—all in a hands-on, practical way.

  • We’ll send you a gear checklist tailored to your trip. In general, you’ll need proper clothing, a backpack, water container, and personal essentials. Some gear may be provided depending on the outing.

  • It depends on the trip. Some are relaxed overland excursions with scenic stops, while others involve hiking, backpacking, or rugged survival practice. We’ll help you choose what fits your ability and comfort.

  • Most trips are open to ages 12 and up with a parent or guardian. Some advanced or physically demanding trips may have a minimum age of 16. We also offer family-friendly options upon request.

  • Our primary locations include the Lake Tahoe Basin, Desolation Wilderness, Grouse Ridge, and other scenic parts of the Sierra Nevada. Custom locations may be available for private groups.

  • Trip costs typically include guiding, instruction, safety gear, some communal equipment, and group meals (if applicable). Transportation, lodging, and personal gear may be separate—details will be provided.

  • Yes. All guides are wilderness first aid/CPR certified and highly experienced in backcountry safety, survival, and emergency preparedness.
